The challenge
A shipping-sector firm in Lanzarote processed carriers' PDF manifests by hand, each with its own format. Manual transcription was slow and error-prone.
The solution
We built a system that automates the manifest PDF → structured data → BI cycle. Azure Document Intelligence extracts each document; a per-carrier mapper rebuilds the hierarchy document → B/L → container → cargo; and a rules engine validates (ISO 6346, weight checksums against the declared total) with a custom confidence index and traffic-light scoring.
A Next.js front-end enables side-by-side human review of the PDF and the data before it is accepted, so automation never runs blind.
